ParticipantCan we view the entries anywhere? I’d love to see all the bags….

ParticipantHi offcuts,
My pod is the Bagistas. Just added ten for this month, so now on page 12, yay!
Tarragon
ParticipantDefinitely keep the monthly stats.
Like butterfly I find it motivating to see my name, well my pod name, on the monthly stats round-up and try to make sure that I remember to add my bags to my total each month. But I also find it encouraging to see the numbers and the pod names of other morsbaggers too. And it demonstrates, to all, exactly how active our morsbags community is.
Keep up the good work
I must be pretty sad though, as I also like to see my pod moving up (tho’ sometimes down 😢) the pages in the list of pods! Strange, as I never responded to targets and objectives at work – ha ha.
(Currently page 13 – competitive? Moi? 😉)Tarragon
ParticipantWowzer indeed!
(And there was me quite proud of my 45 ☺️)Tarragon
ParticipantLove the profile picture Pol 😃
Now all we need is an emoticon, or is that also in the new iOS release…

ParticipantI guess I didn’t make myself clear. I didn’t mean iron-on labels, I meant that the label design is printed on special paper, and then transferred onto the pale fabric, usually by ironing. The end result would be the same – your design printed onto fabric which is then cut to size and sewn into the bag.
😯 but it is a lot more expensive than I remembered!
Tarragon
ParticipantI think it’s a great idea. If it is appropriate I might use the idea myself (but without the Facebook bit 😯).
Instead of a stamp, another way would be to use the iron-on printer paper (intended for t-shirts and the like) then create a page with lots of labels and iron on to the pale fabric.
That would be easier to amend, the design could shared with others, and it may be cheaper too (for me anyway as I already have some sheets, or did!).
I shall watch this thread with interest 😀

ParticipantWell, it’s been a while and I experimented with the scrunchie idea but it wasn’t wholly satisfactory. It looked fine but added bulk to the rolled bag and, worse, was a bit of a pain to make. And some of my elastic was not very stretchy so that didn’t help.
I’ve gone back to the trusty rubber band, but I’ve been having a look at using a piece of stretchy lace trim instead – bigger than a rubber band, so less easy to lose, and yet wouldn’t add any bulk. And a lot prettier too ☺️
I haven’t tried the button & elastic yet. I don’t have many large buttons in my button box so some planning is required first.

ParticipantOops! Just realised this post was from last year – sorry about that…😯
Tarragon
ParticipantThey are lovely bags, and I love the way you’ve displayed them.
Cheeky I know, but can I ask what software you used to create the collage effect?
Tarragon
ParticipantI knew you’d have some good ideas!
The integrated pockets and mini bags look great (love the strawberry), but I like the scrunchie idea. I might make a little matching scrunchie for my bag (maybe even attach it?) and also experiment with the button and elastic loop too.
BTW this forum is great – I’ve asked loads of questions and always get really quick, comprehensive and helpful replies. Thanks a lot. 😊

ParticipantOakham sounds good too. Do keep me posted. Seriously.
I’m not sure if there’s a “private message” function on this forum, but if there is feel free to PM me.

ParticipantA sewing retreat? At Abinger?
Sounds marvellous. I’m still a solo pod and would love the company. Count me in!
Tarragon
ParticipantAha – like portrait and landscape!
Tarragon
ParticipantWhat a great idea!
> 91cmx38cm (36″ x 15″) or beachtote style 76cmx45,5cm (30″x18″). Of course I > fold the fabric along the long sides.
So is that a bottom or side fold?
And what’s “beachtote style”?As you can guess, I’m new to this lark 😀
