Thank you for the update beattie. As ofcuts said, well done everyone. I have a morsbag talk/making session tomorrow. 1810 bags in August is a lovely statistic to give them.
Well done ECOBAGS. That is an amazing number of bags to make on your own.
Thank you for the link beatie. You are right Offcuts, our work is not yet done.
Oh, I like this idea, I have some old net curtains so I will make one and try it.
Great news. People are getting used to taking a bag out with them. When handing out bags people have told me that they now use bags for life, which is good in as much as they are reused, but they are still plastic. It comes as a shock to some people when I point this out to them. Does anyone know if these bags are recyclable?
Gosh, this is news to me. Thank you for bringing it to my attention scallywagbags.
A suggestion, until those of us who have a lot of teabags in stock (like us) get tea pots and loose tea sorted out, break open the used tea bag and dispose of the paper/plastic separately. A bit of a fiddle I know and this wont get rid of plastic but at least it won’t be going into our garden compost.I agree butterfly, a lot of bag making. Thank you for keeping us up to date with the activity beattie.
A lovely long list of active pods. That means lots of lovely new morsbags going out into the world to make it a better, cleaner and tidier place to live in.
Thank you for keeping us to date with the stats Beattie. We all had a great time thank you and passed on the morsbag message to a few more people.
Nature in Art is a great place with lots of inspiration for future projects. If anyone finds them selves in the Gloucester area it is well worth a visit.5000 bag celebration 4th June 2016 by Agwen[/url], on Flickr
Hope I have got this right and you can see the ladies who could attend our outing.
Congratulations to Trusty bags for making 50,000 bags
Also congratulations to Offcuts and Harborough Hitbags for 10.000 bags each.
A grand achievement.Well done Bude Baggers, a lovely set of bags.
Macs Bags contribution was the Celebration bags. We haven’t met since the competition ended but the bags are going back to the members who made them and they will decide who to give them to. We enjoyed the challenge of making a set. Thank you for organising it all PolA lovely selection of topics and the bags people have chosen to make.
The question is, will we be able to let them go out into the wild or will we want to keep and use them ourselves?Another 36 to add from Macs Bags = 85
9 more for the total = 49
