I shouldn’t worry too much Tarragon about the flowers being upside down one side. So long as the label is on the flowers-right-way-up-side people don’t worry! My seams vary according to the thickness of the fabric but my handles usually are standard size unless it is a small bag when I make the handles a bit thinner because it looks better. If you follow Offcuts and Beattie you will be turning out wonderful bags in a flash!
That sounds like it will be fun and trend setting – making morsbags to music while eating cake!
Great news!
All I can say is – Brilliant!
That was interesting Gudrun. A good experiment!
Yes – absolutely BRILLIANT!!
Loved reading this and the different ways of spreading the word. I don’t know what it is with men and bags but even men I have previously considered grown up won’t carry a reusable bag but prefer a plastic one. Mind you, I was pleased in London yesterday to see how many shops are now using paper bags instead of plastic.
Well that was an uplifting read. Thank you Beattie. Well done Pol. I thought her bit on Woman’s Hour was excellent and now the figures prove it.
I copied it to Facebook Butterfly
Good luck with the handout everyone!
That is a superb article Butterfly. Your friend Louise has done a brilliant article. I would like to see it published world-wide! Please give her a hug from me when you next see her.
Well done Mac Bags! Terrific achievement.
Yes, it is Beattie. Isn’t it amazing?
Shame. How silly of the producers not to spot real talent when they see it. I bet you were the best bit of the whole programme. Disappointed 🙁
Nice to meet you Tarragon. I think you are right about having a little back-history on the website. People are always asking me why the bags are Morsbags. Looking forward to hearing your progress in due course when you have finished you current projects and have time to make bags. I started by bagging my friends and family.
