A gorgeous selection of bags. Even though you have decided to take a break I’m a strong believer in the motto “once a morsbagger, always a morsbagger”.
Hope to still see you at Sew Sociable.
XxLove the photos. Lots of bags and lots of happy faces!!
Have a fabulous time. Xx
Well done on reaching a great milestone!!
Sounds like you had lots of fun. Sewing and cake go so well together and pizza is a great addition too.Your garden looks like a weird car boot sale!!
Our first swap has been a great success! There were just 6 of us but everyone was very excited and enthusiastic. After casually mentioning the group on a couple of sewing facebook groups, we will have at least doubled our membership by the next swap!
One of my favourite moments of the whole 2 days was being downstairs in the eating area as the bell was rang. Dozens of heads turned in unison to see where the noise was coming from and wonder why there was clapping and cheering! We do like to be noticed don’t we?!
I had a great afternoon. The whole event was fab. There was lots of amazing pieces of work to see. Some of the quilts on display were stunning. There were lots of great traders too with a huge variety of fabrics, wool, threads, silk, kits…. This list goes on and on.
Team morsbags did a great job with 8 machines constantly on the go. It’s so lovely doing these bigger events.
XxJust had a little flurry of new members!
Getting in the mood for the weekend. Making some bags this evening.
Thanks for posting Sazzie and thanks Pol for letting us post here.
I’m really excited about our little club and have only started it thanks to Sazzie’s comments, support and ideas. It’s OUR group Sazzie!!
XxI’m really looking forward to it too! And looking forward to seeing you again, Beattie.
XxLovely photos and write up.
I am really laughing at the dog show adventure! well done with your third prize. You will know to be more prepared next time!
Loving the dolphin plaque.
xxThank you for your kind words ladies! I really enjoy the whole morsbagging thing. Over the years, sometimes it has had to take a back seat but it always calls me back! Thanks to my trusted morsbag book, I can tell you that I made my first bag on 29th January 2008 (it was beige with orange and brown flowers and I’ve still got it! And Rosie, I came to an event at Brocks Hill on 9th Feb 2008 which I guess is where we first met!)
I have met some lovely people, made some wonderful friends and been to some brilliant events. The jubilee one was crazy!!! Lol.
Big Morsbag love to everyone!!Ruth’s bags are always gorgeous. She made some beautiful ones out of fabric sample we had been given. At the old morsbag room we even had a box with Ruth’s name on it for all the pieces that were just a bit too small for “normal” bags and we knew she would piece them together to make stunning bags.
