So far, so good. Myself and my friend have both made at least 1 morsbag a day for the first week. In fact, I’ve added 26 to our pod (Butterfly Bags) this week.
I’m sharing lots of photos on the Sewvember Facebook page and on our morsbags Leicestershire Facebook page.
I enjoy this challenge and it’s always nice to remember that we are part of a bigger morsbags community.
XxReady and waiting.
The labels for Rosie are an awesome tribute to an amazing lady. I will definitely be sewing some Morsbags very soon
Give me a shout if you have anything planned Ann. Would love to help. Xx
I think that people make lots of Morsbags in January for several reasons. As you say, after December being too busy to get much sewing done, we are keen to hit the ground running in the new year. Also, the weather is rubbish so we probably spend more time at home. Add to that, many of us are skint after Christmas so it’s a nice, free activity that feels like you are doing a good thing!! 😂
Ive just spent 2 days having a big post Christmas clear out and tidy up. This involved sorting out a huge pile of morsbag fabric and cutting it out so I’ve got a nice pile of kits all ready to sew in the next few weeks!Hi Gemcat. I’m in Leicestershire. We have a group that meet regularly in Oadby. They meet at the Fabric Guild on a Thursday. There is also a group that meet in Market Harborough once a month. I don’t know of any other groups that meet on such a regular basis and I personally don’t know any morsbaggers in your part of town. Other morsbaggers tend to arrange meet ups at their homes with friends. We have a morsbags Leicestershire Facebook page so if there are any morsbags events that we know about in the area, we post on there.
Have you registered your own pod?Are we doing it again this year? Xx
That’s a lot of active pods and so many morsbags. Brilliant!
What an awesome total for January! I love the thought of all 300,000 morsbags out there being used! Every single one of them has made a difference.
It’s always great to see those totals. I’ve made very few in December. Other things had to take priority!
Happy new year to you and Frank, Beattie. And to morsbaggers everywhere. I love being part of the morsbag community.I’m loving this challenge! I’ve made at least one a day during November so far. Hope I can keep it up.
Another great morsbagging month. It will be interesting to see if the Sewvember challenge helps to boost this month numbers.
So happy to hear that pods were created after Ragley Hall. Xx
Wow. That’s an impressive total. You must have had some very speedy sewers!! The ladies at the fabric guild have been trying out the new stamp so that’s a pretty new bag. They were running low of labels so are trying out the stamp whilst they arrange new labels.
Looks like you had a fabulous event, hope you enjoyed it.Hope you have a fabulous weekend. I loved the Ragley Hall event.
I hope to see lots of photos afterwards.
