Hi Gemcat! Thanks for asking your question. Have you tried looking at the pod map? You can zoom right in and see where all the pods are. There are a lot in the Leicester area, but not all are active, as morsbags has been going for over 12 years so some have come and gone.
You could select the pods in the area which you can get to and send them a message. I’ll also ask a couple of friends in that area for more information.
It had an excellent result last year.
Wow, Ivybags. I knew we were getting low on labels, didn’t realise we’d actually run out!
Good work everyone, who’d have thought we could make so many bags? Thanks for asking Pandora, it was great working with you too!
I understand that the final totals were –
Friday 71 bags
Saturday 79
Sunday 75
= total 225 for the weekend.I was hoping that tally would be divvied up amongst the people who helped (a job I used to do with relish…) but I haven’t heard anything. π I’ll ask around.
71 morsbags were added to the global tally on Friday. I wonder how many will be made today?
Thanks for posting ivybags! I’m hoping to post some photos from yesterday when I’ve got to grips again with flickr

Fantabulous! That’s a great story Odd Handles! I have made a few net bags in the past but never got good at finishing off the top where there are seams and drawstrings that need to have a tidy little space to operate through. I need a tutorial!
That’s a great idea! I keep meaning to make some more lightweight mesh bags with drawstrings for fruit & veg. I made some years ago, but they gradually got mislaid here and there. I think I only have one left – and would be pushed to find it right now! Hmmm
Ah, Ivybags! If you’re in St Day make sure you also check out “Be The Solution”, the new refill shop adjoining the Launderette and next door to the General Stores. It’s a little gem – sells all sorts of “green” cleaning products. Bring your own bottle or get one there.
St Day has so many eco-enthusiasts!You’re doing a great job keeping the stream of labels flowing Ivybags! I like seeing new pods appear, but I LOVE it when they start producing morsbags for their community. YAYY, that’s what it’s all about!
Thanks very much, Ivybags, for giving me a whole month off! I’m pleased to see that you were kept busy by all the industrious sewists world-wide. There are so many people giving up their time and energy into making a change where they are, sewing re-usable bags from stuff that would otherwise be thrown away. I love it!!
And there are so many heartening messages posted too. I will be looking out for more in the coming months.
In the meantime, great work everyone! π Let’s keep it up
Thank you so much for taking charge, Ivybags! I caught a cold at the end of our holiday (lucky it wasn’t at the start!) and have been a bit “feak and weeble” as we say.
Our weather seems to have been less tropical than in other parts of the UK and Europe as we’re near the sea which keeps temperatures more even. Less hot in summer and not so cold in the winter.
I logged on this evening and was amazed at the numbers already…. wow! π
