Any more pics of all three kittens?
That’s nice Agwen! π
Thank you Krisaby! It’s a morsbag, so of course it’s superb! π
We did pop into Waitrose the first morning we were there Krisaby. We had breakfast there and I looked for Elaine and the morsmeter (didn’t ask for them) but didn’t spot either. We found the place to vote with our token but didn’t see a morsmeter.
Aggie Baggies had a batch of labels sponsored by a local pub. We had a sign up at events to say as much. Otherwise, we’ve just paid up. Morsbagging is a very cheap hobby by all yardsticks and we get more than a few pence worth of entertainment out of making and giving away each bag. π
Bumpity, bumpity, bump bump bump!
We’ll be away om 26th October, but I’ll give bags away on Monday 27th, the day we get home. I hope you will let me count them in! (smiley face)Lovely bunting, Salt Line Studio! Are you Tracey wearing another hat, or are you a new forum member? Welcome, if so! I want to post a smiley but I am using an Italian keyboard and cannot find most punctuation marks, including colons for eyes or apostrophes for canΓ t! LOL!
I am very pleased to hear about the regular pod meetings, I’m sure you’ll have fun together! (Did you notice I’ve found the ‘ it’s where a hyphen ought to be!) I like wearing my ‘morsbags uniform’ too, though I’ve found it needs to be stored inside out as the dye isn’t very light proof.
Thanks for posting the photos – it’s lovely to see people having a good time! You have some lovely fabrics there, Cathapple! And TWO types of cake! What more could one ask for – maybe pizza? And that’s there too π
Looks like a very productive and happy day was had by all. I hope the bag distribution goes well too! π
Sounds like fun! I’m sure the group will grow through word of mouth.
I second M/C’s praise for Wonderclips – they were really quick and easy to use to keep the handle ends in place, and there’s no danger of anyone pricking their finger with them. Great for beginners – marvellous invention!! (Pity they’re a bit expensive)
That’s brilliant, Cathapple! Well done to all of you for reaching the thousand bag mark! π 36 bags in a session is really good going, especially as most of the seamstresses hadn’t made bags before and there was cake to be eaten π
I’m looking forward to hearing more from Bude π
What makes me laugh is that this is when we’d nearly finished sorting out the shed and most of the boxes were back in it, with their contents inspected, allocated, labelled and replaced in the box! I’m glad that Mick from O2 has been and taken his boxes – that means there’s room for Grumpy out there now, with his little tea kettle on a primus stove and a plastic chair to sit on, with his ipad on his knee ….. π
That sounds like fun, Scallywagbags! We like using handcranks for the same reason, though often, by the time someone has told you their “helping mum/ gran / aunty story, they want to get on & not hear about morsbags! At least we get some of their attention π
I hope it’s fine for your Saturday “unplugged” session!Sounds like a great venue and a sound plan in place, Scallywagbags! I hope you get lots of footfall and all your customers have an enjoyable experience. I see you’re advertising it under a “machine sewing for beginners” heading – and as we all know, morsbags make the idea first project for beginners. Should be a wonderful evening. We’ll be away but I look forward to reading all about it. π
Thank you very much for having us, Offcuts, and thanks for all the work you and Team Leicester put in beforehand getting everything ready. We had a lovely weekend! I’ve just been unloading all the fabric we came home with. I’ve found we have 40 royal kits, plus 2 chair covers and what looks like a single bed valance to unpick and cut up, so we should end up with more royal bags in Cornwall. We’ll have to think up a special event to use them at! π
