Bags to give away loaded – check
Camera ready to load
Weather forecast dryish but not very warm…..
Wish us luck! What strikes me, Pol, is the variety of bags that you’ve made in March! π I find I get stuck on churning out groups of bags that all match, as one duvet cover, or a pair of curtains make so many! I mix them up a bit to get some contrasts and to give the eventual pickers a choice, but find I get fed up with seeing the same prints, or colours. Yours are so beautifully individual!! π
That’s really kind of you, Pol, but I’ve just had a count-up after an afternoon of ironing and I have 62 kits ready to to – more than enough! Then I had a peek in the caravan where M/C stashed all the morsbagging stuff before Christmas when family were coming to stay – and found another boxful of kits all prepped and ready to sew! So we’re sorted for Saturday, and for more sewing at Coastal Valley, and several other workshops later in the year, thanks. π
I’ve been enlivening things by working through lots of printed cotton pieces given to us by Offcuts last September. I managed 6 “Dennis the Menace” kits from a piece of a curtain – gave them all plain backs as I think they’ll be very popular.
I just LOVE March 6th Pol! And 8th… though I feel mean picking individual bags out – they’re all lovely! π
Thank you Offcuts!! I’ve been making – and ironing! lots of kits, ready for the event.
I could call on the lady who proudly showed me her bag with the hand-written label on it the other day, and take a photo.
What’s that little one, bottom right – is it Japanese?
I like the brown “royal” label least, and, do you know, though I was a convert to the square-ish labels once I got used to them, I think I like the new labels best π Honest!!!
Gorgeous bags Pol, and a nice project for the month. I’m sure there will be happy takers for each of those π
I’m making at least one bag a day, unless we’re on holiday – and we have one coming up in April, but I’m well ahead for that!
That’s great Squeak! Good work π Welcome Buttonhole!
How’s the March morsbag challenge going? I’ve been doing at least one bag a day since 8th Jan (but I backdated it to 1st, New Year’s Day). I’m going to have a good stash to give away at an event we’re going to soon. πI have some rubber stamps – the card-making kind. Do you know what sort of ink or paint or whatever you used?
Sorry, I don’t know why it’s got those black bars on either side.
I pasted https://www. flickr. com/photos/27405018@N03/16085868864/
and I’ve added a couple of spaces so we can see the address and not the photo.
I think the address you posted is different, maybe a different photo?Offcuts, I’ve tried to look at the photo you posted a link for, but get an error message “404 Page not found”. Have you pasted in the whole of the link?
I’ve tried to find it on flickr.com but not managed to find it.Phew!!
Thank you Krisaby!I’ve started a new system. I’m keeping a list as we go along, instead of having to scroll through hundreds of entries. I hope it works better….
Isn’t it lovely to see bags that you’ve made in use so often π
Dear Krisaby! I’m back from choir and have double checked the list for February. My humble apologies – you are right! I think your pod is Ladybag? I’m afraid I left both you AND Greenbaglady off the list in error! π₯
Here is the corrected one. I hope I haven’t made any more mistakes. Please let me know if there are any.The corrected list of “Who made bags in February?”
