Normal day for Silvia! Morsroom 111 – remember our first little room with the shutter! We are all looking forward to having our ‘family’ back.

Hi JC. Lovely to hear from you and welcome to morsbags. Great idea to give them away in the pub. Let us know how you get on. ๐
I’m really looking forward to Saturday. Waley very kindly helped sort out today’s delivery from Leicester Probation Service. They are all ready now to hand out on saturday. I have decided to give out all the bags that are currently stored at my house because (drum roll!) we should be in our new room before the next batch arrive. Thanks to Maggie, Sue and Kay for bag sorting today. We found a lovely note in one of the bags. It was so sweet, I wanted to share. The bags in question weren’t too bad and Kay took them home to sort out
ROLL ON SATURDAY!

January 19, 2014 at 11:51 pm in reply to: 35th International Morsbagging Weekend 18th/19th January? #1694Yes Fleckney Bees is Sarah P and her mum. They are bagging Sarah’s new road next weekend. I am so pleased that I can add on Offcut2’s bags to their tally myself now without having to bother Joby, but it is a bit complicated. I put them on their tally as they leave the house for events etc.
Well done everyone!

We were time sharing with a live sell out cinema performance of Jewel by the Bolshoi Ballet. It was in 3 parts so we had rushes for bags in the intervals! Gave away 100 in the end. Thanks to Mary and Chris for their help. My favourite thing was when a lovely family including twins of 10 took home kits to make bags at home, and when a kindly gentleman bought me a much needed orange juice! Only made 1 bag in the end

I think we used to think it was between Ivybags and Sazzie with Ivybags just pipping it but that was quite a few years ago.

Great news Sazzie. What did you make? ๐
Yes Beattie, they are meeting in Lutterworth on thursday evening and then again on West Leics on 1st Feb. Julia, the lady on the right in the first photo is hoping to meet once or twice a month. She runs sewing classes so has readymade participants. She very kindly showed me how to use a walking foot that Brother have given me to use on thicker fabrics. ๐
We had a lovely time this morning at Bobbins and Buttons pod. 9 people came and 10 new morsbags are in the wild. We had fresh coffee and home made cookies, and thank you to Julia’s friend, Sarah for taking me home. It made me laugh that Bobbins n’ Buttons posted on Facebook that they ended up with more fabric than they started with! Yep thats what happens!! Waley came along too. I am really pleased that I learnt how to use a walking foot (useful for thick fabric) Here are some pics

Hope you have a good session with your group tonight and sure they will love their bags! ๐
I have just had a lady who works at our hospital pick up 50 bags to give to patients and staff. She is also interested in becoming more involved with morsbagging.
Also our morsbagger Chris has a friend who is an ambulance lady and she is going to give out bags to 2 ambulance stations.
I have also just heard that Mary Scissorhandโs son, who is training to be a nurse is going to give bags to his fellow student nurses.
I am just off to write them all down before I get confused!
@ Beattie, I love involving other people to bag. We are so lucky to have friends and followers on Facebook who are local and can collect the bags. It reminds me of the growth picture on the home page.
@ sazzie good idea to bag Mr sazzie’s school and bag your lane
