Thanks BT.
Yes, for now we have retired the square labels after much more love for rectangular. But as expected now the square lovers are missing those kind!
We will be sticking with rectangular though and are trying to exhaust our stock of the ‘retro’ design on them soon to be replaced with something that matches the new style of the site.January 2, 2015 at 11:06 am in reply to: 200 morsbags used for festive food parcels in Loughborough #3455Amazing use of a morsbag!
And I see nothing wrong with that re material Cathapple – if it is too small to make morsbags then why not let it generate label funding!
Great stuff. If you do manage to get a Waitrose green token scheme going we will receive the money from Waitrose shortly after it is finished – we can then offset that against any future labels orders as if having your account in credit.
This is something we plan to speak to Waitrose about in more detail and will report back.We just had a pod sign up in Georgia!
Hi, I think it must have been a Flickr issue not a morsbags server issue as they are stored at Flickr. If anything something went on when our server contacted Flickr – maybe they refused to send the picture to our server or something – but all looks good now anyway
Already noticed this, more down to the fact that using your ‘back’ button on certain browsers will simply load a cached local page instead of getting a new one fresh with the latest blue/grey bar status (something like this is quite common on many site’s features like this). Going via other pages (anything other than ‘back’ circumvents this) – not much can be done about this but I think as a whole for when you enter the forum the status of read/unread should outweigh this minor niggle
Although going straight to the message and skipping the main forums blue bar does do this as on return to main forum it is blue, so what you mention is also an issue BT, can look into it…it may be down to that only admins can get those edit options, i’ll look into it…
Just an update – the square ‘new’ labels are now temporarily discontinued and we will only sell the retro morsbag labels for a while.
We are looking into sponsorship for new labels to try subsidise or fully remove cost from labels.
We are holding off from a final design due to a potential feature we want to introduce to labels which is ‘sequential numbering’ – each label will have a unique number that links back to the pod who bought them. This would create an interactive element of each bag allowing the user to find out who made the bag and why – thus driving more traffic to morsbags as well as putting local people in touch with their local pods. At the moment it is just an idea but if we are able to order enough labels in bulk with sequential numbers printed on them it should add little to no extra cost.Hello everyone, this gremlin should now be eradicated.
The forgotten password form page and ‘My Profile’ pages seemed to disappear but all should be back now.
If you ever had us manually reset your password for you then you should be able to create a new password by going to the top right yellow bar area and choosing ‘My Profile’ – then scroll to the bottom and set a new password.we are trying to fix this gremlin. Currently forgotten passwords and viewing own profile is broken…
that line is part of the printing process, I can see if it can be removed in subsequent orders. Even the older labels had this line.
You can now buy ‘retro style’ morsbags labels here https://morsbags.com/product/morsbag-labels-retro-style/
They are a limited edition run until we finalise a final new label shape and design (the price is a little more due to the label size and it being a smaller bulk order than usual)
enjoy!@ pickering stitchers – the shape and design has changed but the material, supplier, inks and process has not changed in the slightest. The newer labels have as much chance as fraying as the previous ones, so I don’t think that assumption is a concern unless you have seen one do it?
The only thing that changed was the design element – so if any thing has cheapened the look of the label it is that and I for one am not fussed about trying to make the labels look expensive – we are trying to do the complete opposite so as to encourage people to get he labels and not like we are increasing the price of them on your behalf.
We are looking into combining the old shape with new design elements but this could cause the price to increase meaning less labels sold and less bags made which in the greater picture of things is probably more important than what we assume the effect of design change on how catchy the label is – most people receiving a bag will be told about the morsbag ethos anyway, or the label still does it’s fundamental job of tying it all back to the site for anyone who can read it.
We’ll keep you posted on plans for further labels.

yay! good stuff glad you figured it out, sounds like the app is doing strange things to privacy settings. When you add photos using it make sure the public option is ticked if possible.
