I have noticed photos being replaced by a question mark on some posts. I guess that is when people take them off flickr at a later date.
Well first I should say it was not the opening as originally planned; they opened a month ago, however we were their first event. We made 44 morsbags on the day which is very good going even for Team Leicester! Emma and her staff couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. We all thought the exhibition was splendid. We loved the room we were in, so spacious, light and airy. My favourite bit? When a kindly gentleman put Β£5 on the table to a chorus of NOOOOOO from us. Thank you to Tori, Maggie, Sue, Frieda, Sarah, Mary, Margaret and Kay for all their hard work leading up to and during this event. It was down to teamwork and their dedication. Love yer!
Our first customer of the day
and his bag. Note the low hanging swaggy thing! We were in a listed building and there were rules. I don’t usually do rules but there you go!
Very sweet! You can see our piece de resistance in the background made for us by our friend Sue Bee.
Here are some couples that I put together for the purpose of photography and to send to HRH
These are sisters who were racing. In the end I declared a draw
In full swing!
Richard flagged a bit at 3pm and fell off the window so Kay sat him on a chair where he was well photographed. Oh and the end of his sword snapped off!
It was a good day! Emma, the manager has invited us back to make morsbags at their medieval christmas craft fair which should be fun. π
I can see 6 photos!
And I have only just emerged!!
Just got to get everything on to Flickr!!

Fantastic venue you have there. I could happily move in for the summer. I think it would be good to morsbag inside a nice marquee to do when it is raining outside! Just like our yurt venue!
this afternoon we went to R111 centre to set up for tomorrow’s event. The room we are in is fab; Mary and Margaret helped me set up and my driver was my neighbour Jim. His granddaughter Keira, aged 10, was a great help. I am thinking of recruiting her!
Ritzy was always the boss of the Persians! π
I reckon she will be the boss, Krisaby!

Lovely story Jen. Do you remember when Jen and I did a swap Beattie? It was one of Jen’s lovely bags – a cat going down the stairs and it’s tail was the handle in exchange for your Richard 111 competition entry (King in the Carpark) π
Thank you Beattie, I’m looking forward to you meeting them in september π
