Nice to hear that you have a new sewing machine. One can never have too many machines and your hand crank machines certainly draw a crowd at events. I now have 6 sewing machines plus the over-locker and they all get used. Only one is a hand crank which sews beautifully through the thick materials which the new machines don’t touch.
Sorry for the delay in adding to the total, I had visitors. The Macs Bags ladies have made 33 bags to add to the weekends total.
151Macs Bags would like to add a few bags to the total for this week end, so count us in.
Tea boy and I had a great time helping on the morsbag stand on 22nd. We were very tired at the end of the day. I can only imagine how Clair, Joe, Beattie and Frank must be feeling, being there for the whole show. It was lovely to meet you all and of course all the lovely people who came to make bags.
Thank you for telling us the total again Beatie. Looking down the list of pods I thought I would never come to the end. A wonderful total for August.
Thank you for the total Beattie. I agree it is lovely to hear about the pods from around the world and I love telling people that morsbags are world wide.
Thank you for the report Beattie. Mike and I enjoyed ourselves on the Friday and Carol & Jacqui had a good time on Saturday. I thought it was a little damp on Friday but by the sounds of it, Saturday and Sunday got a bit wetter.
People were keen to make a bag, even waiting in line for longer than it took to make the bag.
Thank you to Rosie, Beattie and Frank for your hard work over the 4 days.Yes the monthly total does seem to come round quickly and the list seems to be getting longer as well. Lovely to see the totals. Thank you Beattie.
Wow, 5000 bags. Congratulations to all the lovely people at Bude Baggers.
55,000 is quite a total, well done to Trust Bags
I am sure we are all now working towards the quarter million bags. Just off to make another bag.
Happy Birthday Morsbags.
Thank you to Pol and Joe from everyone in Macs Bags for starting morsbags. We all enjoy making the bags, the smile on people’s faces when we give them away and knowing that we are helping the environment.
I hadn’t picked up that it is 10 years since it all started. It just so happens that Macs Bags are going to have a bag making session on Monday so I will make sure that we have cake instead of our usual biscuits.Thank you for the update Beattie. The list gets longer and the total larger every month. We still have to keep sewing though, I met someone in our village who didn’t know about morsbags, they know now. 🙂
Good news and bad news.
The bad news is Macs Bags can not take part in the hand out as a pod. There a so many of us that have other commitments that we can’t get together.
The good news is that bags will be being distributed places as far afield as Texas, Tobago and Sri Lanka.
Hope you all have a successful had out on 20thNovember.Thank you for the update again Beattie. There are still plenty of people in Herefordshire who haven’t had a bag yet so we will keep sewing.
It is a while since we took part in a mass handout. It is nice to have a one to look forward to. I will talk to our pod and see what suggestions we can come up with for that day.
