Eek, time’s getting so short and I STILL haven’t made a mothers day bag. The weather’s been tempting me out into the garden to plant, sow and transplant things. Tomorrow is forecast to be wet – maybe that will spur me into action?
Well done Joan! You’re doing a great job! I keep meaning to take extra bags with me when I go shopping to do a little “mini-handout” but somehow I forget!! You’re a star!! π
Wow, you’re doing a great job, Transition Southport!! I really like your tag line “Swans Don’t Shop” and the press coverage you’ve had is great. It’s super that you’ve been able to get further coverage in subsequent weeks. Those trees full of “witches knickers” tell their own story, don’t they! π
Thanks for posting and letting us know how you’re getting on – keep it up, you’re doing well! π
Love the special music themed bags Missy G. Well done Harborough Hitbags – again! π
The first entry has been posted (thanks Agwen), and WOW!
Well done Olive!!Lovely photos Butterfly! Thanks for taking them, and thanks also to Offcuts for posting them.
I was so sorry to hear you’ve had trouble posting photos again Butterfly. I think the method is a bit different to the old website and I’m not sure how to advise, I always have to have a bit of a fiddle round til I find how to do it – again!
Glad you and Keavie had a great day – I love the bags lining the drive at The Green Place.
Oh, I’ve only just found this thread! Thanks for taking and posting such lovely photos, Offcuts! Your new morsroom looks very swish! π I hope we’ll be able to visit and see it for ourselves some time.
I DO like the little “Welcome” banner and the inspiring bags all around. Lovely wheelchair bags, Angela & Paige! π
He’s just like a little teddy bear! π
Ah, he’s so sweet with food all over his nose! π
Wish I had an idea! At least I now have someone to give it to – my daughter who had a baby last autumn can be the lucky recipient!
Hi JC, it can be difficult when someone just doesn’t get it!
I explain that we’re not allowed to accept money for the bags we make, that if we did it would be a different transaction and we buy and sell things every day. This is different, and we do it to make people think more about their use of plastic, particularly plastic bags – after all, it certainly got HER attention, didn’t it! π
Then I tell them that by giving the bag and not selling it, I’m putting them under an obligation to use it, as I didn’t put all that time and effort into making it for it to sit at home, or in the car, or wherever, unused! π
Good luck with your new “baggee” – I’m sure that once she’s got the idea, she’ll do super publicity for you. How useful that she works in the store and would be in a position to tell lots of people about how wonderful morsbags are! π
I see you managed it Butterfly. To answer your question, flickr isn’t the only website you can use to “host” your photos. I’ve heard of picasa as another one, and I’m sure there are others.
Congratulations, Butterfly, you did it! π
Looking BEAUTIFUL Butterfly! π
If you don’t actually have 100 different fabrics, going the mix’n’match way sorts the problem out nicely! We love bitsas in this house & my own fave bags are randomly pieced ones.
March 10, 2014 at 8:38 pm in reply to: Short films made by school children about marine litter #2144Thank you for finding these films and putting up the link for us to watch them Offcuts! I enjoyed them all, I’m sure the students who made them learned from making them.
