March 14, 2014 at 10:57 am #2161Congratulations, Butterfly, you did it! 😀
March 21, 2014 at 6:41 pm #2211I cant do it again!!!! Having a little tantrum here! I’m trying to post a photo of my next 10 bags and its just posting the address and not the photo. What am i doing wrong?
March 24, 2014 at 8:39 am #2235Butterfly, so sorry you are having trouble getting the photos up, but so pleased I am not the only person to struggle with it! Your bags are absolutely lovely and excellent work in completing your goal!
April 13, 2014 at 7:32 pm #2335Hi Butterfly, sorry you are having issues. However I think you are pasting the wrong links I am afraid. The one you last pasted above has ‘/lightbox’ at the end which is wrong – you can’t paste a link to a lightbox (which I believe is a collection of flickr photos) you need to be on the actual single photo itself and grab the link.
The photo that worked was a link like photos/butterflybags/13111481384/ (after all the http and flickr.com parts) so as long as you are pasting something ending like that then it should work!If that all sounds a little complicated – essentially when you are trying to grab the flickr link for the photo, really do make sure you are looking at the singular photo (eg having clicked on a thumbnail to make that photo fill the screen in Flickr and then get the link from the top)
Hope that helps, just shout if any other problems and we can talk you through it in an email or something

April 13, 2014 at 10:45 pm #2353I make a photo collage on my ipad, I then send that to flickr (as 1 photo). So, how and what do i need to grab from flickr and move here? (I’m on a mac if that makes a difference)
April 13, 2014 at 10:59 pm #2356April 13, 2014 at 11:03 pm #2357Ok. so that didn’t work!! I clicked on the thumbnail, made the photo big, clicked and dragged the writing across for the flickr page to here and it didnt work. Is it trying to share my whole photo stream rather than just the 1 photo?
April 13, 2014 at 11:05 pm #2358So what you need to do is log in to Flickr on your mac in any web browser. Navigate to the picture itself so it is the only photo on the screen with some info to the right of it.
In the URL bar at top whilst viewing the picture you will see something like…
flickr.com/photos/butterflybags/13111481384/ (notice how it says photos then your username then a long number that is the photo id)
copy the entire URL address bar then simply paste into the post here and it should do the rest.
Your previous to last failed attempt had ‘/lightbox’ on the end of the URL suggesting to me that you copied the URL too soon before actually navigating to view the actual photo intended itself. In that last attempt it looks like you are doing something similar. You are nearly there! keep trying, we can delete any practices at your request if need be.April 13, 2014 at 11:07 pm #2363April 13, 2014 at 11:12 pm #2366On the flickr screen right now, i have the photo I want to share quite big and then the other info ( my name, thumbnails of my photostream etc) in a black box on the right. I’ve cut the info from the box at the top (https and all that stuff) but it ends with photostream. Ive pasted that here and its just showing the link to click and not the photo. ( you can probably tell I’m not very computer minded!!) Is it the photostream bit at the end thats causing a problem?
April 13, 2014 at 11:13 pm #2367Please don’t click the picture to scroll through them or the use the right and left arrows to browse as this adds /in/photostream to the URL. Go to your photo stream and click on the exact thumbnail to make it bigger, and before doing anything else like scrolling left and right through them grab the url – do not not click through to browse! that should work

April 13, 2014 at 11:19 pm #2373I did what you said! I even closed flickr and started again just clicking on that one photo! It doesn’t have the photostream bit at the end but still hasn’t worked. Could it be something to do with my flickr settings? I only got flickr for this so I’m not familiar with it.
Thanks for your time and patience but I think I might just give up!! -
