Thats fantastic news JC. I love the apartment idea and the link with the cutting down of plastic bags. Another backstory; we are friends with a group who originated from Chicago but now live in Albuquerque. They are called the Handsome Family. I gave them a bag at a festival in Leicester and Rennie (they are husband and wife) really liked what we are doing. She now gives away bags at their concerts and she always tells the audience about us. π
I wish I had done it!
I am really sorry that you feel that way Pickering Stitchers. I think there are two main reasons why the labels were changed. As you know Pol managed to secure a lottery grant for a new website. The labels were designed to compliment the new site. I loved the old logo (I have the tattoo to prove it!) however I am not sure it conveyed the idea of making the bags which is the main point of morsbags. The new labels do convey that morsbags are made.
The other reason they were changed was cost both to us and to Pol and Joe. Prices were going up for the long labels but the square format was more economically viable.
Well done Butterfly! π
Lovely bags again Butterfly!
I have probably said more than enough on fb but I love the way the new label echoes the shape of the bag and the scissors and dotted lines indicate the bag is homemade.
I think they have a junior football tournament at the park across the road so might bag that. I like the idea of care homesβ¦β¦β¦…
We found its good for slippery slide fabrics too.
How’s the morsbagging going JC?! π

Glad you had success with your walking foot. We keep one permanently on one of the Brothers at our morsroom.
We were recently given a Bernina from an education establishment. I decided to take it straight round to see Steve our sewing machine mechanic. He stitched with it and too be honest it sounded a bit rough, certainly not the smooth quiet purr that I am used to from my Berninas. Anyway then Grumpy and I were witness to what I could only say was magical! he unscrewed the foot pedal (DON”T TRY THIS AT HOME OBVIOUSLY!!) and started putting bits of solder on the circuit board (DON”T TRY THIS AT HOME OBVIOUSLY!!) whilst having a football discussion with Grumpy. He then put the foot pedal back together and tried the machine. It purred. Not only was this very impressive I am going to have to say it was sexy! Steve also mentioned that the top guy in Bernina UK said he was the youngest Bernina technician in the UK and there is no one coming up learning these skills! This is very sad cos he is not that young!
Wow! Great comp Pol!
True! Sue made them using the walking foot that Brother kindly gave us for tricky fabrics. It’s a good little gadget. π
Sorry, I meant to say it was a skirt with the strips already sewn together. Still tricky to sew though! π
Brilliant! I love the way some have made animals out of fabric as with the seal on the rock. π
You’re welcome Butterfly!
