What happened in April? Our lovely Pol was interviewed on Bank Holiday Monday Woman’s Hour which gave rise to so many hits on the website it went down for a while.
Pod registrations have also gone through the roof – there were over 30 new pods registered this month, and even more impressive, lots of those new pods have sat down and added bags to the tally!
Magnificent! and well done to all of you! 😀

I’ve been away on holiday and it is just possible (ahem..) that I’ve missed a pod or two out – apologies if that was you!

Between us all, 2522 bags were made worldwide – isn’t that an amazing figure, for people who are sewing in their spare time, for no reward but the fun of doing it, and the glow of saving wildlife and the environment, and the buzz you get when you give something away, FREE!

Congratulations (squared) if your pod appears on BOTH lists! You get a big pat on the back for getting your labels ordered, sorting out your stash and getting your first bags made. I hope you enjoy giving them away too. Maybe you’d like to join in with the mass handout on May 4th.

So do I, and I think it is very inspiring and encouraging and interesting to see who is making.

I need to add that without Krisaby the above list wouldn’t have happened! Beattie asked me to note the numbers of bags made while she was cruising the med. I had completely forgotten until I saw Krisaby’s post on the Three in a Bed thread at 11pm! Thank you Beattie and Krisaby!!

Well that was an uplifting read. Thank you Beattie. Well done Pol. I thought her bit on Woman’s Hour was excellent and now the figures prove it.

    Hear Hear!!

ps for Beattie, I am sure you are used to the topsy turvy numbers from Offcuts2 but the 740 last time was because they were waiting for labels! 🙂

Sorry, I forgot to thank Offcuts for number-spotting for me on 30th April! 😀 It saved an awful lot of back-of-envelope maths! Thanks too to Krisaby for reminding Offcuts…. 😀

I’m always stunned by the numbers of bags that O2 make every month. They certainly put in their time.

I’m so glad you find it interesting to see the figures – and it’s inspiring when you see so many other people are sewing away wherever they are too. 😀

Wow 2522 bags, as you say Beattie, inspiring. Thank you for giving us the review. I am going to include this information in the talk I am giving later this month.

Now I’m home I can check the list I made of new pod registrations early in the month, and I’m sorry, I DID leave one out! 😳 It was –
    Starting To Sew
    They write
“This Pod is for members of the Facebook group “Starting To Sew”. You can join the group here… https://www.facebook.com/group/F1647098332184571

At least I included you in the list of pods that made bags in April! Well done for getting started. 😀
