My pod started when I was a Girl Scout leader teaching girls to sew while learning about the effects of plastic in the oceans. When girls joined Scouts BSA I became a leader for my daugher's new troop. As COVID-19 hit and she was ready to complete her Eagle Scout project. She used the pod for her project of getting others to join the international movement to stop using plastic bags. She asked volunteers to make MORSBAGS which she donated to the local food pantry. I have continued this pod as my way spread the word about plastics in the oceans, and to join with others who want to make grocery bags from recycled material. Join me if you are in my area. Local food pantries always need grocery bags for their clients.
