Hi there! I’m so glad my pod made it on to the list – HSNF Christmas Project 2020. I created the pod on the 25th May, and I’ve been gathering together material and buying cheap curtains from e-bay like crazy, so now have a lovely stash to get started on. The aim is to make 100 bags by the start of December 2020. My son rides at a special needs farm, which is run as a charity, but obviously the users themselves don’t have the resources to be able to help financially. I help the farm out with a few things but for the past two years I’ve also provided all the Christmas presents for the users with a budget of just £1 per person. I’ve already done the gifts for this year (wildflower seed bombs) so my mind turned to 2020, and the Morsbags are perfect! Decided to make my first, trial bag for a friend for her birthday, particularly as she’d looked through the fabric and pointed out a piece she liked. She also knows I’m going plastic-free so she should really see this coming! I got the sewing machine out yesterday and despite finding that it really isn’t as well as it once was, managed to do part of a bag before having to stop. Found a new sewing machine online and it’s arriving today, and as I’ve never had a new machine I am really excited! Looking forward to editing the pod tally shortly!
