As you know, we meet at Brocks Hill every Thursday but occasionally we do an event at the weekend. In the past it has been on a Sunday but this time we decided to try a Saturday.
We had a great team of morsbaggers, 2 of which were helping at an event for the first time.
Most of the ladies (it was all ladies this time) that came along were making their first morsbags. All the bags were fabulous and most of them took kits to make more bags at home. In fact, one lady contacted us last night to say she had gone straight home and made 10 more bags!!!
As well as the fabulous bags that were made, we gave lots away, received donations of fabric and met some interesting people that could lead to morsbags reaching new parts of Leicestershire.
It was such a great atmosphere. morsbags does seem to attract the loveliest of people and it makes me really happy that I am involved with this amazing group!
I have shared some photos on our Facebook page and I hope that Offcuts will post them on here for me later. (I still struggle with that!!)Sounds like a great way to spend your Saturday, Butterfly! I’m looking forward to seeing the photos. I loved hearing about the lady who went home and made another 10 morsbags – maybe a new recruit in the offing?
Here we are! The lady on the left in the first photo is Offcuts new morsbagger New Sue. She is amazing!
