    Interesting comments

Transition Bags updated their statement about themselves. There are so many good ideas here –
“Transition Chester is a community group that is working to encourage people to adopt a lower carbon life. We have set up our pod in ‘Just Footprints’ in the Forum Precinct, Chester as an appropriate venue to make some useful Morsbags. We want to make contact with people (children and adults) who would like to work together to develop their sewing skills and make some attractive useful bags at the same time. We will be donating them to one or more of the Chester Foodbanks. We will be running public ‘Makerys’ from time to time… keep an eye on the Chester Transition Facebook page – @TransitionChester and Twitter Feed – @TransitionChstr. Next ‘Morsbags Makery’ is at Just Footprints on Thursday September 26th 2019 between 10:00 and 16:00. Come and learn how to use a sewing machine and make a few bags with us!”
I hope the Morsbags Makery went well. I see that Transition Bags are on the list of active pods. Well done!

Espanola Fibre Arts is a new pod in Canada. Their coordinator says –
“We are gathering together in memoriam of a dear friend who passed away this past August. Our goal is to sew 200 bags to hand out at our Espanola Fibre Arts Festival this October. We will be meeting for 2 days September 20 & 21st – to sew together and remember our friend.”
    What a wonderful idea!
PS On 22nd September Espanola Fibre Arts added 150 bags, and another 50 on 25th September. Congratulations on carrying out a brilliant plan to remember a friend. There is a lovely report with lots of photos on Facebook.

Podronus got hooked at the handmade festival in Hampton Court. 🙂
and Crafty_Girls got started there too. These new pods make me very happy!

A new pod in Müllheim Feldberg, Germany – S’Lädele – writes
“In meinem Hofladen werden nur noch Morsbags weitergegeben, falls jemand eine Tasche braucht”
Google translate tells me that means
“In my farm shop, only Morsbags are passed on if someone needs a bag”. 🙂

Congratulations to Bude Baggers who reached a milestone this month.
20000 morsbags made in just under 6 years is a great record, fantastic work, morsbaggers!

A new pod in Amstelveen, Netherlands, called Sewing by the Poel, joined us in the last few days and wrote
“Love bags, love hand made gifts, love sewing; match made in heaven ;-)”
Welcome! I love this – and good timing for Christmas presents too! 🙂

An amazing achievement, especially Hampton Court (must keep that date free next year)
Morsbaggers have been so busy that we ran out of labels…but never fear….we have been replenished this week, and labels are now on their way….

Wow, Ivybags. I knew we were getting low on labels, didn’t realise we’d actually run out!
Good work everyone, who’d have thought we could make so many bags?

Wow, no wonder more labels had to be ordered with 5202 bags from 115 pods adding to the total in just one month. A wonderful achievement.
We keep making bags and handing them out. I thought we had saturated our little village but no, only yesterday I gave a bag to a long standing resident who hadn’t heard of morsbags.
Glad you have a new stock of labels, Macs Bags will be reordering them soon.
