Having spent 2 days clearing my sewing room, didn’t feel unable to part with anything, made a new years resolution to complete UFO’s this year and not buy any new material or kits. I put each project I start in a bag so hopefully be end of this year I’ll have quiet a few empty bags. Today I’ve finished a UFO it only needed a edging crocheting round it. Just going to get another bag. Could wear myself up if I keep this up.
That’s a great New Year’s Resolution, Cushion Lady! 😀 How many bags have you managed to empty now? (Sorry I didn’t see your post earlier).
Will have 2 empty bags in the nxt hour or so as am just finishing another crocheted blanket, this afternoons project will be 2 morsebags for my cousin and her grandaughter. I think I need to get a job.
Good for you Cushion Lady. You are doing well. Keep that up and you will have a pile of empty bags by Easter and will be able to build up another collection of projects. It sounds good fun to me! Keep us posted of your progress please!
You’ve inspired me, Cushion Lady! I don’t have a roomful of unfinished projects, but I have been having a “holiday” from sewing since October.
So my resolution is to make at least one morsbag a day. I’m already seven bags behind, but I reckon I can catch up and rattle off eight bags today. 😀
I am in the process of tidying my sewing room so finishing a few UFO’s sounds like a good New Years resolution. Keeping all the bits for each project in it’s own morsbag is a good idea too.
Now that I have found my sewing machine I will just make a quick bag before getting diner ready.
Yes Teaboy is back. He had a great time looking at trains. Also handed out a few morsbags which will be well used. Eritrea is a poor country and everything is reused, they even have a recycling market.
Things could get tricky now, have found 3 (yes 3) bags with unfinished knitting projects in. Probably left them because I am not quick at knitting.
This is just the season when knitted things are wanted, especially clothing, so you probably have the motivation to finish off those UF(K)O’s! 🙂
AND you’ll release three more morsbags for the world.
Knitting is so slow, 1 of my projects is a cardigan I started for my grandaughter when she was 2, shes just had her 4th birthday,
I can see you have a problem here Cushion Lady. Will this cardigan still fit your granddaughter or do you hope another granddaughter will turn up and you can finish it for her? These last three bags are going to cause trouble, I can feel it in my bones. Do you know anyone with a cat? You could invite it in and let it loose on the wool and then you can discard the projects as mission impossible.
