Great to see one of our Leicestershire pods as Featured Pod. It only seems like yesterday that Mary Danks and I sat in a coffee shop in Market Harborough planning where to meet etc. Lovely to see my friends Eunice and Rhona are still involved. But also good to see new faces. Love your morsbag banners! Can’t miss those!
It’s good that most of the Hitbags pioneers are still in the pod, but we have so many new members now that we are almost outgrowing the meeting room! We cut out fabric on all the available surfaces, including the floor!
Thanks for drawing the new Pod of the Fortnight to my attention Offcuts. I have the morsbags forum bookmarked so very seldom look at the home page. It was very interesting to read about Harborough Hit Bags. I know they appear on the “pods who made bags last month” list every time I do the monthly stats. The photos were interesting and I liked the big banners. Now I’m suffering from banner envy! 😉
The photos with the group in the gazebo brought back memories of similar events I’ve been to – and the sewing table on the vintage railway platform made me smile too.
I also discovered that I’d completely missed the interesting information and photos from Wir in Arnsberg pod. What a coincidence that both these pods like making morsbags from men’s shirts 😀 Wir In Arnsberg pod have a drop-in centre where people can come with their sewing problems – what a wonderful resource!
Thats great that you have new members Claire G. We can help you with some fabric if someone could pick it up from Brocks Hill Visitor Centre in Oadby. We are there on thursday afternoons 21st and 28th January, and sunday afternoon 13th Feb or if non of those suit we could deliver to your event on sunday 21st Feb. We have had a very generous donation of fabric and would like to share with other morsbag pods.
