April 1, 2015 at 8:54 pm #4035And 7 were Leicestershire pods!! Well done everyone! Spring is in the air and people are clearing out their cupboards! 🙂
April 1, 2015 at 8:56 pm #4036Great to see all the active pods, thank you for compiling the lists Beattie! xx
April 1, 2015 at 9:45 pm #4038You’re welcome Offcuts. 😀 I’m pleased that you find it interesting – and encouraging! I’m off to do a whole lot of maths now…..
April 1, 2015 at 10:16 pm #4040….and I make it a total of 2563 bags made in March, but don’t stone me if I’m wrong, as I had to write them down and add them up in my head.
April 1, 2015 at 11:30 pm #4041About 700 more than last month! I wonder if it has anything to do with the price of labels going down?
April 1, 2015 at 11:42 pm #4043Wow!!! That’s brilliant that there were so many active pods in March!
I showed my friend, Louise, how to make a bag early on in March and she made 41 during the month! Another morsbag addict. Hurrah!!April 2, 2015 at 7:45 am #4047Brilliant, I’m finally organised enough to be back on board… All be it at a much reduced speed due to other commitments…. I’m aiming for a bag a day in April
April 2, 2015 at 9:57 am #4048Offcuts, I think the increased number of bags is down to the renewed flush of enthusiasm from O2 as they added several hundred bags at a time, a few times during the month. Amazing!!
I don’t think the reduction in price has had time to trickle through and affect bag production yet – even if it’s a factor.
April 2, 2015 at 4:36 pm #4049Well I’m not sure people doing community service are ever enthusiastic but it is true they have had 3 deliveries of 500 in the last few months. They have a new boss who is very enthusiastic and 2 new supervisors which means they are running more sessions. Also at a recent visit I found out they are not making other things anymore, just morsbags. However I am not convinced that this is sustainable. For that 2 months they will have used over 750 metres of fabric! We can’t supply anywhere near that amount so chances are numbers will go down soon. We shall see! There will be no counting/distributing until mid April now. I am proud to have organised distribution of all those morsbags tho! 🙂 Here is my list for the last batch. Now I am working on where the next batch are going to!
Community Choir Festival 50bags
Lutterworth/Blaby/cosby farmer’s market via Sue Lamont 100 bags
Oadby food bank 50bags
Mosaic Food Bank 50 bags
Brocks Hill Easter Fair 50 bags
Brocks Hill Shop 50 bags
World Book Day (Countesthorpe via Chris) 100 bags
Witness support (via Freda) 100 bagsApril 2, 2015 at 8:01 pm #4053I made some – but I expect I forgot to update my pod!
April 2, 2015 at 11:31 pm #4058Krisaby, after last month’s “red face” incident, I double checked carefully to make sure that I hadn’t left you out again!! If you add them now you’ll definitely appear in April’s list.
April 4, 2015 at 8:02 pm #4075Oh yes Beattie – the February Scandal! No, I know I haven’t added to the total. I keep forgetting to look before getting the computer. The bags are downstairs and the computer is upstairs and my brain finds it hard to grasp the enormity of remembering to look at the numbers before I come up. April will have a Knock Your Socks Off total!
April 7, 2015 at 12:43 pm #4143As for me, work finally settled down to normal length days (most days) leaving me with any energy at all to get to the sewing machine. This was helped with a phone call from the local Neighbourhood house asking me if I wanted any fabric as they’d found piles of it in a shed.
Did I want the fabric? What a ridiculous question! Lovely stuff – bed sheets, curtains, fabric samples… heaven.
April 7, 2015 at 4:14 pm #4149Fantastic!:-D
