Just starting out and completed my 14th bag. Building up a collection to give to my knit and natter group.
How do I add photographs?June 27, 2022 at 5:59 pm #66907Hi Spowartann! Welcome to the morsbags forum and thanks for your question.
I have to confess that adding photos has become increasingly difficult as they can’t be posted to this website directly. They need to be held on a photo hosting website that allows open viewing by anyone (“The Public.”)
I used to use Flickr.com but I think it was absorbed by Yahoo’s mighty empire. It
became increasingly difficult and more expensive to use so I stopped posting photos. I don’t know if Anne Ivybags has a better answer, but most morsbaggers post photos on Facebook. There is a morsbags.com account as well as peoples’ own pages of photos of morsbags and morsbaggers.I stopped using Facebook as it was absorbing all of my life, but that is a personal decision.
Can anyone else suggest a photo sharing solution?

I bet your Knit and natter group will love their morsbags 😀June 29, 2022 at 6:10 pm #66953Hi Spowartan
If you are on Facebook then just search for Morsbags, and you can post your pictures on there, and tell us a bit about your pod, etc. That is the most widely used platform nowhttps://www.facebook.com/morsbags
Well done and welcome
Anne

Can anybody help with newbies.

AggyJuly 8, 2022 at 2:49 pm #67186Hi Aggy and welcome! The way it works is more or less like this –
* you create a pod for yourself on this website (keep a safe record of your password so you can log back in again later) or join an already-existing pod (helps to know someone in it)
* You’ve ordered your labels – hurrah! 😀
* Make some bags and sew a label onto each one.
* Add the number of morsbags you’ve made onto your pod tally or ask the person who manages the pod if you’ve joined one that already exists.
* Give the lovely bags you’ve made away to people who can use them instead of plastic.
It’s great that you’ve tried to hook up with local morsbaggers, but morsbags.com has been going for over 15 years and pods may no longer be active.
If there’s no reply, go ahead and do your own thing!
I love to take fabric that would otherwise be thrown out and make it useful again.
July 9, 2022 at 1:50 pm #67207I’ve just approved a new pod that I think is yours Aggy!
Good work, that morsbagger – you didn’t let the grass grow under your feet 🙂 -
