We have 14 new pods who joined in July – congratulations on finding morsbags and registering. They are –

RRTAG Redditch

Big UP the Bags

rutundrueb.liInterestingly, there is a spattering of new pods in New Zealand – at least 2 in the list above, plus the new one registered this morning that will appear in August’s list. I wonder if there’s a reason for this cluster?
As before, some newly registered pods have already got round to making some morsbags, so double congratulations to Norfolk Knitters and Stitchers, Te Awa Pod, Welly Fabric Hoarders, Beuteltier, Loulou’s Pod, and rutundrueb.li
Bag output dropped a bit in July – and I can understand why, the outdoors tempts, children are on holiday, but between us, we still managed to add 2225 bags to the global tally, made by these 48 pods –

Mission accomplished and 50 bags distributed at the Colchester Food and Drink Festival on 27th June, 2015. Also 6 bags made (one by the mayor) and great interest, especially in the 1920s hand sewing machine.Murston Junior School wrote –
A Brief history July 15. Was expecting to be in class teaching today, but as I was not needed I decided to finish the half completed bags for the pupils to enjoy over the school summer break, increasing our total by 5. Every little helps. Early July 2015. Last after school club meeting today for the academic year, with a total number of bags made for the year standing at 20. October 2014 Now an after school club with 14 members, meeting weekly from 3.15 – 4pm. July 2014. Our first pod: Year 6 school leavers, studying Habitats as this term’s topic, making a bag each during lunch break.Well done, ColBags and Murston Junior School.
I noticed a message from Loopychris who several people may remember meeting. She says “Haven’t made any bags recently as we were preparing for a house move. We have now moved so I will be resuming my morsbag making very soon.”
Welcome back Chris, I hope you settle in quickly.- This topic was modified 9 years, 3 months ago by beattie. Reason: Edited to remove duplicated pods

August 2, 2015 at 1:46 pm #4710Thanks to Offcuts for pointing out the duplicated pods in the list above. Hope we’ve got them all now. 😉
August 3, 2015 at 10:16 pm #4714I’m sure it only used to be about 1000 per month in 2014
August 4, 2015 at 11:57 am #4717It was, I agree. I wasn’t keeping figures, but I noticed that towards the beginning of the year we were adding around 1000 bags a month, then in September it was more like 1500 per month.
