2522 bags were made in July – numbers dropping off a little, probably due to nice weather enticing us outside and schools breaking up for the summer.

Here is what a couple of pods have written –

    Clara’s solo effort writes –
“It’s just me. So far I have just made bags for family and friends: I have been neither industrious nor brave enough to be able to hand them out to random strangers! I have made bags out of off cuts of fabric, old curtains, old clothes (including jeans, which was difficult!) and pillowcases. I use an old table top Singer sewing machine. The bags all hold up well to carrying heavy shopping (cans etc) home from the shops. My personal favourite is made from a piece of vintage barkcloth with zany 1960s orange flowers. Due to frequent use (I use it every day for work) and washing it has faded and gone floppy, but I still love the fact that no-one else has a bag like it.”

I so admire pods that register and then get down to sewing straight away. Bean15 did just that this month and has already made 17 bags. The pod’s message is “single pod working on my own” Go for it, bean15!”

PAF’sPod joined a week after bean15 and has also been working hard. Another solo-poddist –
“Just me. I like to quilt/sew and I like the idea of a better way than nasty plastic grocery bags.”

Over the last few months a number of new pods in Germany have registered and are making lots of bags, they appear in my stats round up every month. In June Frau D. joined us and I’d like to point out her facebook page https://www.facebook.com/FrauDwerkelt/?fref=ts 😀

Well done everyone, we’re doing a great job!
