The Bank Holiday weekend is here, bringing imminent rain, and we’re off to the glampsite again! We thought we’d try a Saturday this time as the numbers booked into the campsite start to drop after the holiday Monday. Will let you know how we get on.
August 23, 2014 at 6:49 pm #2975Saturday is probably the best choice this weekend – hope it went well
Ive been up on watch – very very busyAugust 23, 2014 at 10:45 pm #2976Hope it went well
August 23, 2014 at 11:32 pm #2977It went brilliantly, thank you, Ivybags and Sazzie! 😀
The weather improved and stayed dry all day, unexpectedly. We had a nice steady flow of people sewing, and Keri kept us supplied with cups of tea and a (huge) piece of cake – thank goodness we were sharing it!! 😉

Patrice here’s Mum wasn’t feeling very well, so Tanya brought Patrice to come and sew with us. She was very sensible and made a good job of her bag. Her dad took some photos too.
We’d brought M/C’s mum’s old Singer for an airing. It hadn’t been used for a while and needed a bit of TLC to sew properly. The trouble proved to be a disagreement between the sewing machine and the thread it had been provided with…. 😕
I know we’ll be going back to Coastal Valley again, and not just for the tea and cake! 😀
August 24, 2014 at 7:46 pm #2978Wonderful – yet again – Saturday was kinder than we thought, thankfully
Patrice is delightfulAugust 25, 2014 at 10:40 am #2980Brilliant! Thank you for that splendid report and pics. Good day’s work that!
I am so glad it didn’t rain after all.August 25, 2014 at 6:22 pm #2982Fantastic venue you have there. I could happily move in for the summer. I think it would be good to morsbag inside a nice marquee to do when it is raining outside! Just like our yurt venue!
August 26, 2014 at 11:02 am #2989The glamsite looks a lovely venue, glad the weather was kind to you.
Love your folding screen display boardAugust 26, 2014 at 12:05 pm #2991Thank you Agwen. M/C made the screen a few years ago. It’s handy having something for people who are waiting for friends/ family, or for their turn to have something to look at. I don’t think you can see it, but there’s some string tying the screen to the frame of the tent as it was a gusty day!
I’ve just noticed a funny thing though – two of the photos have disappeared and there’s just a link to them. I’m sure they were displayed when I posted them. If you click on the link you can see the photo, but they’ve gone from here. Most odd! 😕
August 26, 2014 at 12:06 pm #2992And now FIVE of the photos have disappeared, to be replaced by a link! I’ve been robbed!
August 26, 2014 at 12:08 pm #2993Now the one that I spotted was missing is back, with 2 others but the rest have gone. I’m leaving – too confusing….. 😕
August 26, 2014 at 10:41 pm #2996I can see 6 photos!
August 26, 2014 at 11:11 pm #2997M/C says it’s likely that the servers where the morsbags website is hosted were being fiddled with earlier, while I could only see some of the photos – at least, I think that’s what he meant….
August 27, 2014 at 2:36 am #3000I have noticed photos being replaced by a question mark on some posts. I guess that is when people take them off flickr at a later date.
August 27, 2014 at 7:19 pm #3021Hi, I think it must have been a Flickr issue not a morsbags server issue as they are stored at Flickr. If anything something went on when our server contacted Flickr – maybe they refused to send the picture to our server or something – but all looks good now anyway
