When we were bagging a couple of months ago in St. Day we got an invitation to bring morsbags (and ourselves…) to a neighbouring village and attend Carharrack Summer Fair. As we were in the process of giving away every morsbag we had in stock at that time it was a good job we had a couple of months in which to make more. 😀
Today we were blessed with perfect weather and a perfect pitch in the little park. I’m sorry we didn’t take any photos, but I did find a picture of the park on flickr.com. You can imagine the other side of the railings festooned in morsbags with Masterclock and me sitting under a big shady tree with bags, handcranks and kits inside the park.
We were situated to the right of the gateway, with lovely Julie selling jams and cordials next door to us. As often happens in such situations, her customers were very happy to get a free bag to put their purchases in.
We gave away 96 bags and made 12 bags on our handcranks – and we also managed to persuade a couple of ladies to have a go and finish off a couple of bags I had almost finished previously. I have to confess that, of the 12 bags we made, Masterclock made almost every one of them, finishing off three that I had started and got distracted away from, and making several others from start to finish!
One of the Fair organisers asked if we ever ran workshops? Oh, yes we do!! 😀 I hope that we may be able to set one up and make more morsbags in this new community.

Nice day. I won a snake in the tombola, better than in the bran tub I suppose.
I am waiting for inspiration for its deployment. My son is presently waving it about by its tail.
M/C also won a packet of Haribo and a small bottle of orange drink. Guess who got 5 tickets but no prizes…… 🙁
