The yurt at The Green Place is one of my favourite places to make Morsbags.
I did an event there today with the help of one of my daughters, Keavie.
We had some lovely ladies drop in to make bags, lots were given away and a couple of people came along especially to donate fabric. I also had a visit from a certain sculptor who came to collect some bags.
My pod total is now 971. I can’t believe I’m heading towards 1000!
My pod is me, a few friends who come round for tea & cake and end up sewing, occasionally my children, and bags from events like today’s.
One lovely friend made her 1st bag in March and has already made close to 100. We are currently trying to make enough bags to give one to everyone who comes to our school summer fair. The theory being they will spend more money if they have got a handy bag to carry everything in!!
(Sorry I can’t share photos but I always struggle with Flickr, there are some on our facebook page for anyone who does that kind of thing!)

Glad your “do” in a yurt went well. Is it the place with the vegetarian meals and computer refurb business? Can’t recall the name.

    Look forwards to your 1000

Yes it is. They’ve done quite a bit of work there over the winter so the veggie cafe is even more lovely than ever. We had some amazing lemon & ginger cheesecake today. There was another workshop going on today too. People were making fabulous chairs. (Out of willow I think)

We visited the Green Place in Sileby with Rosie a couple (or maybe ?) of years ago. I thought the yurt was lovely and I enjoyed the garden too.

It sounds as if you were satisfyingly busy Tori 😀 and your Keavie is growing up into a lovely young lady 🙂 – no slumping in THAT chair!!

You’ll be on 1000 quite soon, I expect as you’re nearly there – will try to look out for it (or tip us off…) 😉

Lovely report and excellent pictures. Morsbag making in a yurt takes a lot of beating!
