This article on the Beeb’s website talks about a massive chain made of 60,000 plastic bottle tops that’s been laid out on Whitsand Beach in Cornwall. Is this the chain that Cathapple’s group has been collecting for?

Absolutely! I’d have liked to see a photo taken from the top of the cliff, as you can’t really make out how long it is.

It was some time ago Pol, I don’t know that they’re still doing the beach art project. I have collected milk bottle tops for a few years as Caroline (the lady whose letter I posted about a few days ago) knows someone who collects for a charity. Now our local council is running a trial collecting a lot more plastic items than they used to and we can put milk bottle tops in for recycling.
